LEARNING ENGLISH

UNDER THE PALM TREE

A small village thought the world how to dream in two languages.

Not Every Classroom Has a Palm Tree.

Our Story …….

Silhouette of palm trees and a boat on water with Arabic text and the year 1973.

It began under a palm tree in Al-Qurawashiyah Village, 1973.

Not in a classroom with four walls, but in the open air — where children learned English through the rhythms of daily life, the voices of their neighbors, and the stories carried by the desert wind.

Under the Palm Tree is more than a language series. It is a work of memory, place, and belonging. Each lesson is woven from a real village, real characters, and a time that shaped a generation.

We believe language is learned best when it is lived — not drilled, not performed, but felt.

Music Under the Palm Tree

Music is part of the learning journey in Under the Palm Tree. Each sound carries a feeling from old Oman: the whisper of palm leaves, the flow of the falaj, children’s voices, village rhythms, and soft melodies that bring the stories to life.

This section gathers songs, background music, and sound experiences inspired by Omani culture and the world of the project. Students can listen, explore, and connect English learning with memory, emotion, and imagination.

Beneath the palm shadows, every melody tells a story.
